Residents will have noticed cars parking on a plot of land on the left side of Brennanstown Ave at the entrance to the development in recent weeks.
This land is owned by Tudor Homes and they have confirmed that the cars parked, are cars belonging to contractors working on behalf of DLR County Council, who are constructing the new Druids Glen Road within the Cherrywood SDZ.
According to Tudor Homes, DLR have effective control over their lands at the moment to construct this road and their contractors, Clonmel Enterprises, had planned on parking their cars on our land at the top of Brennanstown Avenue. Tudor asked them not to do that, in an effort to minimise disruption to residents, as cars would have been travelling the entire length of Brennanstown Avenue.
It is planned that the first section of the Druids Glen Road will be completed in June and cars will then be able to park on the road instead of in Brennanstown.
Signs were erected on the site this morning notifying motorists that parking is for contractors only.
The residents association will keep residents updated with any further information as appropriate.
