Attempted Break-In At Carleton House

There was an attempted break in this morning at Carleton House. They gained access to the apartment building and attempted to gain entry to an apartment. The lock on the front door of the apartment was tampered with.

Gardaí have been informed and CCTV is being checked

Please ensure the front door of apartment building is closed properly.

If you see something out of the ordinary please don’t hesitate to contact the Gardaí at Cabinteely on 01 6665400.

The residents association have requested that the codes on all apartment buildings are changed. The managing agent has confirmed this will happen on Monday 4th November. All residents will be notified of the new codes in advance.

  1. Thanks for the update. The issue with Carleton House is that the main building door doesn’t close; therefore anyone can just walk in, so changing the code won’t really help. The priority should be fixing the main door. I’ve contacted the management company about this in the past..

    1. Hi Maria, we are aware of the issue with the front door of the apartment block. It’s been fixed numerous times, but unfortunately someone keeps tampering with it. We are working with the management company to resolve the problem.
