Update Following Meeting with Residents Association & DLR Parks Dept

The Residents Association committee met with Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council Parks Dept recently.

We discussed several projects with the parks team including….

The trees along Brennanstown Ave from the old Bray Rd to Cabinteely Stream will be cut back to improve visibility and lighting for pedestrians and motorists.

This work is being carried out by tree surgeons this week.

The parks dept gave us several hundred crocus bulbs which we recently planted along Brennanstown Ave from the old Bray Rd to Cabinteely Stream. We hope to see lots of colour along the avenue in the spring.

Early in the new year 30 native trees will be planted along Cabinteely stream in front of the apartment blocks.

In 2020 the fence along Cabinteely Stream and the pond will be removed (its in a very bad state of repair) and both the stream and pond will be cleaned and the banks will be strimmed.

The fence along the footpath on Brennanstown Avenue will be removed and the planting will be tidied.

We will continue to work with the parks dept in the months ahead on these and other projects.
