Noise Pollution From Construction Beside Brennanstown

Dear Members and Residents,

Following correspondence in the last few days with Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, local TDs and councillors, dlrcc have carried out an investigation into the construction work beside Brennanstown and the resulting noise pollution.

The site clearance work being carried out by Tudor Homes does not require a planning permit.

However the noise pollution issue is being dealt with by the relevant dept at dlrcc.

Normal hours for construction are :

Monday to Friday: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturdays: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Sundays & Bank Holidays: Works normally not permitted.

If there are noise issues outside these hours (particularly on weekends) please send an email to the residents association immediately with video footage if possible and we’ll share with dlrcc.

I’d like to thank several local councillors and TDs who have been very helpful over the last few days.

In particular I’d like to thank

Cllr Carrie Smyth

Jennifer Carroll MacNeill TD

Cormac Devlin TD

Ossian Smyth TD

Cllr Michael Clark

Cllr Jim Gildea

I hope to have some positive news from dlrcc early next week.

I will keep residents posted.

Have a great weekend.

Kind regards,

Stephen Murphy

Chairman

Brennanstown Residents Association
