Tom also said that today’s meeting would probably be a repeat of last year’s AGM.

2. In his Chairman’s Report Tom told the meeting that we look after and plant in the common area such as the Avenue from the Old Bray Road to the stream and look after this area during the monthly clean ups.

Last summer we also painted the benches in the Square and some of the large tubs because to replace them would be very expensive.

Many meetings with DLRCC were also attended inconnection with their plans to run the Greenway through from the new bridge along the east side of Cabinteely stream. We’re hoping that Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council’s (DLRCC) plans to fell some of the trees on the Avenue might be changed.

With regard to the social side of the Associationwe ran a summer BBQ with David doing the barbecuing and Will and the committee providing the food and itwas very well attended.

We then had a picnic in the Square on Sunday 2th of August before the children wentth of back to school and to finish up some of the food left over from the BBQ .

Coffee mornings are held on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 11am to 1pm during the Spring, Summer and Autumn. We bring our own coffee but biscuits and treats are supplied. If there are more attendees we may think about purchasing some coffee flasks.

The website is very useful for many thingslike recommended tradesmen etc and gets a huge amount of views.

The Brennanstown Square Whatsapp group has a lot ofresidents involved in it and Noha has taken over the organising of it from Tom.

The residents association Best Communications award from DLRCC and a prize of €500 which will be put togood use during 2026.Tom thanked DLRCC for thegrants received as they haveenabled the BRA to do much more than the €25 subscription would allow.

The Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer should serve for no longer than 3 years.Three officers are resigning this year having completed their term and Satheesh has beenelected onto the OMC leaving the committee with four vacancies.
