Update On Support For Residents Self Isolating Or Cocooning

Dear Members and Residents,

As the Covid-19 emergency continues we wanted to reiterate, if you might benefit from any help or support, please reach out to us. The residents association are happy to help.

Some of the local shops and pharmacies have made special arrangements to take orders and payments over the phone/by email.

Local pharmacies are happy to have people collect prescriptions for their friends and neighbours. People collecting prescriptions should bring an authorisation note with them. This can be a simple handwritten note from the patient or we have a printable version of such a note that can be downloaded here

A Health Information Form can be downloaded here. This form is for use by anyone, but especially older people or anyone with a medical condition. It is extremely useful to front line medical staff if someone is admitted to hospital as it will contain information on all medications, previous illnesses, allergies etc.

Please understand that this form should be completed and kept at home to be used only if needed.

If you are unable to print the form at home let us know and we can arrange for it to be printed and dropped through your letterbox.

Many local clubs, community groups and individual neighbours have made their own arrangements in terms of offering help to those who need it.

Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council have setup a multi agency COVID19 system to help residents that is cocooning, elderly or vulnerable.

They can arrange the collection or delivery of food, essential items and medicines.

Social isolation – support and engagement

Transport queries and more

They can be contacted by calling freephone 1800 804535 (8am – 8pm) email covidsupport@dlrcoco.ie

This service is available 7 days a week.

Remember, the advice from the Government and the HSE is that we stay at home. This initiative aims to make that possible for our valued older people and those with an underlying medical condition – don’t hesitate to ask for help.

Finally, for up to date factual information and advice on Coronavirus visit https://www2.hse.ie/coronavirus/ or call 1850 24 1850.

Stay safe and well.

Kind regards,

Brennanstown Residents’ Association
