Clean Up & Biodiversity Planting

Dear Members and Residents,

Yesterday a hardy group of volunteers braved the wind and cold to clean up the Avenue and the entrance to the estate.

Volunteers cleared the road of leaves and litter
They also cleared the footpath of leaves and brambles

The volunteers also planted three dozen lavender plants at the entrance to the estate and beside the Little Library.

These were purchased with the assistance of the Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council biodiversity grant.

Lavender plants are a great source of nectar for bees and butterflies.

When in flower lavender looks and smells wonderful.

These  are in addition to the almost 1000 daffodils and crocus bulbs planted recently.

We didn’t get time to put up the Christmas lights as planned, but we’ll do that this week.

Thank you to Marian, Dave, Andrei, John Will, Paul and Stephen for your help.

Kind regards,

Residents Association Committee
